LOOKING UP TO 2005
Acquired in '88, THE
GRAND BARN has become the utmost vacationed destination for those sharing the scope of
worldwide friendship and open-mindedness. Starting our 17th year of operation and that is
thanks to the accrued support of our T.W.A.N./TGB Members and loyal visitors throughout
those past years. We have been/are publicized in many publications and guides, from all
over the globe and many have responded to the call for great common sense that is so
predominant at TGB. THE GRAND BARN offers many themes and activities of interest to its
fine visitors. With the year 2005, TGB is opened all year long for our most supportive
visitors/members even when it gets colder. Winter activities are made available. Winter
trails are open for cross-country skiing, snowmobile, snow shoeing. Considering Desire
Lake is a little far to go for skating, therefore we have our skating rink (100' X 70')
on the front area of TGB. The front office is made available for warming up
and buying yourself some fast food and warm drinks (coffee, hot chocolate). Maple time
should also be an opportunity to enjoy maple products produced at TGB.

In summer, for those
seeking a picturesque location where to find oneself in an environment to be at one with
Nature, optionally Nude & Free to enjoy the full feeling of being away from daily
routines and a place to escape the stressing stuffy feeling of city life, THE GRAND BARN is your destination.
TGB is a private select club/resort of 250 acres of freedom. Located right by the
Trans-Canada Hwy 417, between Ottawa and Montreal, and at an equal distance from Cornwall,
its location can be easily found for those that want to experience the feeling of complete
relaxation in a domain that has kept its very raw natural aspect and has maximized on the
quality of its more tolerant laid-back visiting crowd.
We are at exit 17, on Barb
Road, north side of the 417, and approximately 1 mile from the exit. No gravel roads for
endless time. We're right there, easy to find. You can even see THE GRAND BARN from the 417, if you turn your head on the left/north side when
approaching the exit 17, coming from Ottawa. That's how close we are from the 417.
You certainly can come
unannounced, but we recommend that, as much as possible, you let us know, in advance, of
your plans to come and visit so that we can better prepare for your enjoyable stay at TGB.
With the abundance of visitors that come our way, your way to know of what we offer is
that you pay your initial daily admission and take the time to explore as much of the 250
acres on your first visit.
It is most important to take
note that we have always been, since our first day of operation, the very answer to the
too many singles who may have felt left out, misjudged, or squarely denied access (or
disdainfully refused based on their status) at many other locations. They have found the
answer to their repeated frustrating rejections by coming at a place they can call Home.
Nudity is fully encouraged,
not forced upon, as it pertains to the element of freedom we so strongly promote. It gives
to the newcomers a better sense of adaptability and encouraging comfort so that they can
pace themselves to the obvious freedom that prevails at TGB. You won't be categorized,
either, upon being Nude and we will not simplistically present ourselves as a mere
"Nudist/Naturist Club". Nude Recreation the uncomplicated way is one strong
option we present with understanding the fact that those who shed their clothes off aren't
playing silly stamping/ denunciating games but will rather be "AT EASE WITH
NUDITY".

TOTAL BUILDING SIZE
The biggest of its kind,THE
GRAND BARN takes its name from the gigantic 220' ft long structure with its 2 towering
silos. TGB presents 2 operational floors to accommodate all types of scheduled events,
along with complete food service and recreational activities. With TGB and its spacious
front parking, lies our 250 acres of fields, meadows and forest.
FRONT OFFICE/RECEPTION
Our fair size front office will make your introduction to the Home of THE WORLDWIDE
AFFILIATE NETWORK an easy experience. You'll be made to feel welcome and comfortable by
either the owner, Peter Riden, or anyone of His friendly team who, at one point or
another, will be there to welcome you. It is also upon coming in, that the more
conservative, judgmental ones may find it hard to come nosing around as it's done at other
places. Our crowd/visitor self-selection is made and based on one's own answer to the very
down-to-earth feeling that prevails once on the premises. No pretense. All alternative
lifestylers know it's their place and the eloquence of their class behavior is what makes
them go through.

THE GIANT CLUBHOUSE
The Upper Floor, is cathedral-like, with a 25' ft center ceiling as the ideal place for
staging concerts, theater, video/movie projections and, most of all, as an indoor sport
complex/center. Future developments will allow for even more banquet-type celebrations
with overviewing mezzanines and full operating kitchen and bar, all for the private use of
our members. The stage, with its 3 level elevations, is the center piece where all
entertainment can be presented and performed.
EXPOSITION, MARKET AND RENTAL AREA
WITH STORE
The Lower Floor offers 80 stalls of 4'X5' that can be rented on any and all specific
events for participants who may wish to present their ventures, works, arts and other
ideas to the attendance. Our Utility Store is also a most appreciated commodity.

OUR FOOD SERVICE
We also serve full course meals. With our acquired fully equipped restaurant (Bus 'N
Grill), our diversity of food is remarkably appreciated by our members at a reasonable
price. Our COOK(s) will be happy to prepare you some of ONE's unique specialties. The
usual fast food diversified menus are also made available.

CAMPING & RECREATION AREA
The recreational area is adjacent to the back of TGB and that's where you'll find our
circular pool, hot tub and our big enclosure in where to take the sun, partially protected
from the wind, either on the grass or on our cement slab with tables, chairs and
lounge-chairs being provided. Our big camping area offers over 140 sites/lots of 20' X 20'
(some serviced with el./water) with plenty of place to circulate and fully enjoy any
outdoors activities, games, sports. It is located right by T.G.B. Obviously our fields
allow for continuous expansion as needed, and should there be a need for a gigantic crowd,
it can be made possible.

THE BACK~40, RIVER KWIET, THE BAYOU
Our forest, The Back~40, contains many serpentine trails that will lead you to some of our
extraordinary centennial trees, uniquely named, worth taking beautiful pictures standing
by them and with unprecedented majesty. Discover and experience
The Portal Tree
Recognition Tree
The Lightning Survivor
The Ancestor
Big Brother
The Majestic
Muscle Tree
The Smooth One
The Mystic
Regeneration Tree
And others named after some of our
members. Maybe you could have one named after you?! Take also the opportunity to enjoy
riding through River Kwiet and see The Bayou.

DESIRE LAKE
Desire Lake has become the favorite spot for all our visitors of any age. It is a 10
minute walk from TGB and is also fully accessible by car for those less inclined to
exercise. Its 400' ft X 300' ft perimeter of striking natural landscape makes it one main
attraction for all to spend hours just hanging around or swimming, boating or plain
sunbathing. Phase II complements the initial Phase I and that adds to the interest
generated by the enjoyment this area provides. Alongside its surrounding road, lots are
available for camping purpose. Inspiring names make it that it is indeed a special place.
Lovers' Island, Peace Camp, Shady Island, Hearty Rock, Peter's Point add to the
nomenclature of Desire Lake.
