post apocalypse setting? settlement 

point of story is people who talk and look like leaders arn't necessarily so. A somewhat disfunctional guy, who is mostly misunderstood as a pompous asshole actually turns out to be correct about an attack, luckily he prepared some traps/defences.



"Trance is the Motion"
very matrix like
normal guys starts having weird visions, hair standing on end feeling ... one day a strange voice (in his head?) starts telling him to look out of a window into darkness to see true memories... The guy then wakes up, he is strapped down, w/ things sticking out of him and he is also atrophied and somewhat obese. He reawakens and wonders if the whole strap thing was a dream ...so he embarks on this quest to determine what the hell is going on. Could incorporate theory that future technology could bring back peoples memories and punish them for crimes. But in actuality the guy could actually be somone who is comatose and is imagining a entire world. In this world the guy is someone else entirely ... and this alter ego has to discover that he in fact is just a dream of someone ... but the woman he loves convinces him that love is real no matter what ... how mushy ;).

a bunch of guys undertake a quest to take down a tyrannical corporation:

disguise guy=illusionist
medic=monk


it would be funny to incorporate ye olde english to carry the dnd feel
