What
does the exam cover?
The
exam covers up to an including Feb 5th lecture (power point slide set 1-7)
This corresponds to Chapters 1 to 6, however, as indicated in lectures,
there will be nothing from the textbook that has not been covered in class.
Reiview
class
Our
lecture hall is open for the half hour following our lectures, if you have
any questions we can have an informal question period following lecture
Wed Feb 5th.

Format
of the exam:.
The
exam questions will be short answer, fill in the blank and multiple choice.

If you miss the exam:
Students
who miss the midterm must contact the instructor within one week of
the exam and bring 1) a medical certificate verifying that the student
was seen by a doctor either on, or prior to the exam date and that
the student was incapable of writing the exam at the appointed time;
or 2) other official documents clearly indicating that the student’s
absence was due to circumstances beyond their control. A make-up
exam will be held during the winter break for those student who missed
the exam with valid documentation. Students who miss the midterm
and who do not have valid documentation will receive zero(0) for the midterm.
